Linen Pajamas for a Restful Night’s Sleep
Linen is made from fibers found inside the stalk of a plant called flax. These inner fibers, known as bast fibers, act like a natural reinforcement that helps the plant resist bending and breaking. Because of this role, the fibers have a naturally supple and resilient structure.
This inherent suppleness remains even after the fibers are woven into fabric, giving linen its signature light, airy feel. It does not cling to the skin, allowing air to circulate freely. In a way, it feels as though the fabric supports the natural breathing of your skin, helping your body relax. This is one of the reasons why linen pajamas can contribute to a deeper, more comfortable sleep.

What Is Linen
Linen is one of the oldest natural fibers, used since ancient times. It is made from fibers extracted from the stalk of the flax plant. As flax is mainly cultivated in the cooler climates of Europe, linen fibers tend to be softer compared to other plant-based fibers such as hemp or ramie.
This natural softness gives linen its gentle touch, making it comfortable against the skin without any prickly feeling.
Flax Fields
Fibers have a hollow structure that provides heat retention and moisture retention, so when we wear them, they act as a reliable barrier between our body temperature and the outside temperature, protecting us.

Flax fibers
When these fibers are bundled together and made into thread, it becomes linen. Incidentally, the name linen seems to apply to this thread, the cloth woven from it, and all products made from that cloth.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Flax fibers are fine, smooth, and naturally soft. However, during spinning, twist must be added to create strength, which can make the yarn firmer. When woven under tension on modern looms, much of the fiber’s original softness can be lost.
By contrast, traditional shuttle looms place far less stress on the yarn. This allows the fabric to retain more of its natural softness and texture. A hallmark of this method is the “selvedge”—the clean, finished edge visible along both sides of the fabric. Linen woven in this way is often referred to as selvedge linen.
The result is a fabric that feels gently textured, airy, and full of life.

Our Philosophy at Tenjin Factory
Because linen is a gift from nature, we believe it should be treated with care. We avoid chemical finishing processes entirely. Instead, each piece is simply washed in warm water without the use of fabric softeners, preserving the fiber’s natural character.
Our hope is that these thoughtfully crafted linen pajamas will support restful sleep and contribute to your overall well-being—both body and mind.

The neckline is designed without buttons for a clean and comfortable finish.
