Woven in Fujiyoshida – A Legacy of Fine Weaving

This towel is woven in the Gunnai region of Yamanashi Prefecture, including the city of Fujiyoshida, an area renowned for its weaving tradition for centuries.

The region is especially known for its expertise in producing high-density fabrics woven with exceptionally fine yarns. This craftsmanship has been passed down through generations and continues today in the production of premium textiles such as necktie fabrics and luxury suit linings.

For this towel, we use fine cotton warp yarns woven at a density comparable to that of high-quality necktie fabric. The result is a beautifully compact waffle weave with exceptional texture and durability. Strong linen yarns are used for the weft, creating a towel that is both long-lasting and enjoyable to use for many years.

Naturally Absorbent, Quick-Drying, and Comfortable

Made from 100% natural fibers, this towel combines excellent absorbency with quick-drying performance.

It efficiently absorbs moisture with a gentle touch, making it comfortable on the skin while helping reduce friction. Because it dries quickly, it is especially practical during humid rainy seasons and cold winter months when laundry takes longer to dry.

Lightweight and compact, it takes up very little space, making it an ideal companion for sports, travel, business trips, or everyday use.
