Our Botanical Dye Collection began with a simple question:
What kind of color and texture would emerge if linen—made from naturally grown flax—were dyed with colors extracted from plants?
This curiosity inspired us to create a series of naturally dyed linen products.
For this collection, we created a linen stole dyed with natural indigo.
Indigo dyeing offers a wide range of beautiful shades depending on the number of dye baths, the dyeing method, and the materials used. Traditional Japanese indigo colors even have their own names, such as Kamenozoki (very pale blue), Asagi (light blue), and Hanada (bright blue).
For these stoles, we selected two colors: Asagi (light blue) and Navy.

The warp threads are dyed with indigo, while the weft threads change color halfway through the stole. The first half is woven with white weft yarns, and the second half is woven with indigo-dyed weft yarns that match the warp.
This creates two different expressions in a single stole. One half has a soft chambray effect, where the white and indigo threads blend beautifully, while the other half has a rich, solid color.
Although indigo is beautiful on its own, we also love the harmony created by combining different tones of the same color.
The stole is available in two color options:
- Navy × Chambray
- Asagi × Chambray
